Buddie M. Stockwell, 65, of
Wellington, CO died July 11, 2013 due to a brief battle with cancer. He was
born February 29, 1948 in Lawrence, KS to Gilbert K. ÒBudÓ and Hildreth
ÒDutchÓ Stockwell. Buddie received his early education in Kansas before
moving to Loveland in 1963 where he attended Loveland schools and graduated
from Loveland High School in 1966. Shortly after high school, in 1968, he was
drafted into the U.S. Army where he spent time in Korea. After 2 years of
active duty he joined the reserves and was honorably discharged with the rank
of Sergeant in 1974. During his time with the Army, he
married Gaye Banks in October of 1972. Buddie was self-employed as a concrete
form setter. He worked for many local builders and became a well-respected
member of the construction community. He was a founding member of the Rocky
Mountain Long Ears Association and promoted the versatility of mules to the
community. Buddie also appeared in several TV commercials for G.E. and coffee
as well as being an extra in movies, such as Lightning Jack. He raised
exotic birds and animals and enjoyed being in the country. |

Buddie is survived by his son
Jeremiah of Loveland and daughter Jimi Clark (Shawn) of Brush, CO; his
siblings Melvin Stockwell (Linda) of Springhill, FL, Carol Parrett (Ken) of
Hoyt, KS, Helen Allocco (Carl) of Orofino, ID, Ronnie Stockwell (Ruth) of
Johnstown, CO and Rockie Stockwell (Karol) of Wellington, CO. He is also survived
by his only grandchild Teagan Clark age 1 and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his
parents Bud and Dutch. |

A Celebration of Life will be held
Friday, July 19th 2013, 4:00 P.M. at the Ellis Ranch Event Center
located at 2333 Ellis Ranch Lane, Loveland, CO 80538. In traditional Buddie
