Stanley D. Meyer, 58. of Loveland died Monday, July 3, 2006, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. He was born April 25, 1948, in Concordia, Kan., to Victor and Clara H. (Kirchhoff) Meyer. He graduated from Loveland High School in 1966, and then attended electronics school in Denver. He was baptized May 23, 1948 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Byron, Neb., and confirmed April 15, 1962, at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, Neb. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and was honorably discharged as an E-5. Stanley was a former Cub Scout leader assistant, and enjoyed camping, fishing, crossword puzzles, motor home travel and especially liked to learn about the places that he traveled to. He was the supervisor of maintenance at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Loveland, owner of Quality Sprinkler since 1978 and co-partner of C&M Enterprises Construction Co. He had is pilot license and was an avid ATV sportsman. Stanley was a devoted father and was very outgoing. He married Janet Schnuerle on Dec. 28, 1968, in Loveland. They later divorced. On Nov. 25, 1988, he married Denise Jimenez in Loveland. He is survived by his wife, Denise Meyer of Loveland; sons, Raymond Ramsey of Loveland and Humbert Jimenez of Palm Springs, Calif.; parents, Victor and Clara Meyer of Loveland; brother, Vaughn "Butch" Meyer and wife Kathy of Loveland; three grandchildren, and nieces Kristi and Kaylene Meyer of Loveland. He was preceded in death by son, Steven D. Ramsey in 2002. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, July 7, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Friends who wish may visit Thursday from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home.
